(CBT) Course Program
​
Study Method:
All lectures are conducted live via Zoom with Specialist Sara Adham.
The study combines theoretical learning + practical application + real case analysis.
Each student will choose two cases:

One case for written analysis.

Another case for practical application in the exam (therapeutic session).

Week One

Fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):
Introduction to the history and objectives of CBT, and understanding the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Therapeutic Protocol:
Learning how to write a clear and structured treatment plan that helps both therapist and client track progress step by step.

Week Two

Automatic Negative Thoughts:
Training students to recognize automatic intrusive thoughts that trigger anxiety or depression, and how to manage them.

Managing Fear, Anxiety, and Anger:
Explaining mechanisms of emotion regulation and how to use breathing techniques and logical thinking to regain control.

Exposure Technique:
Practical training on gradually confronting feared situations instead of avoiding them, reducing their impact in the long term.

Writing Technique:
Using writing as a therapeutic tool to release emotions, organize thoughts, and reveal negative patterns.

Types of Emotional Attraction:
Understanding the psychological and emotional reasons that drive us to choose specific partners or relationships, and how to build awareness of these motives.

Role Reversal Technique:
Experiencing the situation from the other’s perspective to expand understanding and reduce conflict—an effective method in relationship therapy.

Acceptance Technique:
Learning how to accept thoughts and feelings instead of resisting or denying them, reducing their intensity and increasing the ability to cope.

Mid-Course Evaluation:
Reviewing learned material and identifying each student’s strengths and weaknesses.

Managing a Therapy Session (Practical Training):
The first step in training students on client interaction, time management, and structuring the session.

Psychological Projection (Negative & Positive):
Understanding how individuals attribute their own feelings or thoughts to others—for example, perceiving aggression in others while it reflects repressed emotions.

Concept of Reality, Present, Assumptions, and Prejudgments:
How assumptions and expectations shape our perception of reality, and training the mind to achieve clearer vision.

How to Conduct a Therapy Session

Week Seven

Levels of Consciousness:
Exploring levels of consciousness (conscious, subconscious, and unconscious) and their effect on behavior.

Types of Psychological Disorders:
A comprehensive introduction to key disorders such as depression, anxiety, OCD, and personality disorders.

Case Analysis Presentation:
Each student presents and analyzes their case before the group, receiving professional feedback.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
Understanding types of narcissism (overt and covert), their symptoms, and how to manage individuals with this disorder.

Week Nine

Relaxation Techniques:
Including breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, and guided imagery to reduce stress.

Regulating the Nervous System
Learning techniques to reset the body’s stress response (such as vagus nerve activation for calming anxiety).

Week Ten

Comprehensive Review:
Summarizing and reinforcing the key concepts learned.

Case Analysis Evaluation:
Reviewing each student’s analytical work in preparation for the exam.

Final Exam:
Conducting a real therapy session for one of the selected cases and submitting a detailed report on it.

Individual Trainings: 4 times during the course (each is a live session with the specialist).

Each Week: Group lecture + individual training.
